ELECTRIC IN WHEEL ENGINES

The TUX profits from higher energy efficiency and the longer range made possible by its electric in-wheel motors and drivetrain with a superlative power-to-weight ratio and price-to-performance ratio. Needing no mechanical transmission (including a drive shaft and differential) the wheels are driven directly by the electric motor. This makes sure there is no energy loss due to mechanical power transmission; weight saving and cost-saving in connection with less mechanical parts.

REGENERATIVE BRAKING SYSTEM

This type of braking system is known for its application in high-end trucks and EVs such as Tesla. We managed to develop our own regenerative braking system specialised for low cost low weight vehicles.  This allows TUX to regenerate up to 70% of the lost kinetic energy from start / stop actions in applications with a low amount of kinetic energy (low weight, low speed). With current systems this is 2-10%.

MODULAR EV PLATFORM

We believe in a lean approach in tech development. That’s why we choose to develop our TUX as a modular platform. Core parts such as propulsion, drivetrain and battery form the basis of our EV-platform. This leaves room multiple applications.
